Melody Barooni

The path that led me to coaching looks more like a circle than a straight line.

As a NCAA collegiate athlete, I found just as much purpose in supporting and coaching my teammates as I did in playing the game. That’s where I first realized something that has stayed with me ever since: the most gifted or disciplined players weren’t always the ones getting the most minutes or recognition - but they should’ve been.

I learned that when I could see someone clearly, reflect their talents back to them, and teach them how to better apply their gifts within the craft, they began to show up in a more powerful way than anyone expected. They became better players, better teammates, and better leaders. It felt like watching something unlock in real time.

Since then, I earned a B.A. in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz and an M.A. in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. I am a Distinguished Toastmaster and championship speaker. With over 6 years in entertainment, I have worked with some of the world’s top filmmakers developing powerful stories, and with over a decade in marketing, I’ve worked across a wide range of professionals and come to deeply understand the challenges people face in finding and expressing their voice.

Too often, I’ve seen highly capable people hold themselves back. My work is about helping them become aligned in their voices so they can communicate with clarity, lead with authenticity, and make a greater impact in the world.
